As some of you may know, I already have several blogs that I update here and there and all of them are a little different, so it is no surprise that I find myself creating another one. While most of my other blogs are more of a display of my writing skills, I really wanted one to show my skills in Photography and Film (two things that are self-taught for me as I have never had professional training in them). I also wanted to make it kind of fun and it was when I was hiking this past weekend that I came up with an idea.
I got an iPhone not too long ago (as soon as Verizon announced they were going to have one, I jumped on the band wagon) and I have realized how much I seem to do with this thing. I take it everywhere. To me, my phone is a mini computer that I always keep with me. It is also a mini camera. I tend to go for my phone for good pictures as it has better quality than my actual camera and while I have two other HD camcorders, my phone is always a little more accessible so I take video on there as well.
When taking both pictures and video on this hike I thought it would be fun to have a blog dedicated to my iPhone Photography and Filmography and I was so excited about it that I actually created this blog on my iPhone as we were hiking back to the car. So...here it is and what better way to start off this blog than with the gorgeous scenic pictures that I took during that hike and during the rest of the weekend I spent up at our family cabin in Grand Lake Colorado.
Though one day I hope to have a nice SLR camera like the Canon 7D, that day will not be any time soon. When that day comes I may start a new blog (I can't stop myself) but I hope to always have my iPhone so that I can always have some wonderful pictures and videos to post here. This is the start of something really fun...I hope you like it.
The following photos are all unedited shots. I will choose a few of my favorite pictures to edit and re-post at a later date.
